Tim’s doppelgänger, Tom
The Agony .... the organizers for the Big Four show offer a light breakfast for the artists and they did not include coffee. The booth fee is 425.00 and no coffee? The coffee vender where you could buy a cup for 2.00 ran out of coffee and this was before the show even started. Plus they didn’t have half n half only 2% milk, yuck. Over 200 artists and other venders totaled 375. The weather was great thank goodness easy load in and easy load out. Some artists zipped up their tent and left for the day on Saturday because of low attendance and sluggish sales. “If I win the lottery I would love to buy that piece” we heard that a lot. Zero sales on Saturday. Sunday had better attendance the people are very friendly, but the money didn’t flow. The wind must have shifted because a fine dust was floating over everything that’s not good. We did have some interest in two paintings but nothing happened. Time to pack up so we did and then went to dinner. Feeling deflated pulling into the B&B we get a phone call... we want to purchase, will you deliver in the morning? ......The ecstasy......yay! And get this, these buyers have a place in Delray Beach. We go all the way to Louisville small world. Next stop home, my own bed, I can’t wait.

This weekend (Memorial Day 2019) begins our adventures in traveling the country exhibiting and hopefully selling our artwork. In this blog, I plan to document our successes, critique the art festivals we participate in and anything else that might be note worthy. Archives
