Some examples of Needle Felting

This Memorial Day 2020 marks the first year of our Art Festival adventures. We traveled all over, it seems like ten years have past. Agony and Ecstacy.
Then strikes the invisible enemy, all shows canceled until further notice. Now what?
Just when we seemed to be getting the hang of the "on the road" thing we got the rug pulled out from under us. Shows we had hoped to return to this year just aren't going to happen. Bigger shows we hoped to get into for the first time have either changed schedules or cancelled completely. We find we need to reinvent the way we market our art.
Who is going to buy art from an artist who's work they have never seen in-person before?
Online Art Festivals is the new venue, take for instance Amdur. An artist pays a flat fee to upload on their platform, up to 100 pieces of art. Amdur takes 25% of all sales, the on-line show lasts 4 days.
Lets say 200 artists participate that is 20,000 works of art to go through....
For the time being, our gallery in Delray Beach can no longer have our First Friday art walk every month.
Plus if people are afraid, do they really want to buy art?
So what have I been doing? Posting stupid sarcastic stuff on instagram, Facebook and TikTok.
Also, Needle Felt sculpture at home and making videos of the process. Take a look below and see
How to needle felt a chickadee. next video will be Cardinal and Peacock
Stay tuned and stay safe, hope to see Y'all real soon!

This weekend (Memorial Day 2019) begins our adventures in traveling the country exhibiting and hopefully selling our artwork. In this blog, I plan to document our successes, critique the art festivals we participate in and anything else that might be note worthy.
